What Do I Mean Radical?
Don’t say you love Jesus yet you love a lot of things of this world – the trends, the music, the ways… Befriending the world makes you an enemy of God (James 4:4) coz Satan rules this world (2 Cor. 4:4). That’s why it looks like this: It’s hopeless. It’s getting no better. And it’s headed to destruction (Mat. 24:35). Our physical bodies, like all things seen, will perish (2 Cor. 4:18). Where will your eternal soul spend eternity: Eternal (second) death (Revelations 20:14) or Eternal Life? (John 3:16)
Are you a “Christian”?
Matthew 7:13-14 states that People are Travellers:
There are two gates leading to two roads and two destinies. The narrow gate is hard to enter and the road beyond it is narrow and difficult. Only few people travel on it. But this road leads to Life, eternal life. What makes it so hard? You must turn aside from the big crowds in repentance for your sins. Turning away from sin is not easy. Confessing you are a sinner and trusting Christ as your Savior is not easy. It takes courage and faith. The gate is narrow so we can only enter one by one. We must personally bow to the King and trust Him. And He tells us plainly the road ahead is not easy. People will hate you, Satan will fight against you. You will suffer and may even be put to death. (See Matthew 5:10-12 ,chapter 16:21-26 and Revelation 2:9-11). But what is at the end of the road? LIFE, and all the full meaning of abundant, eternal, joyful life in Christ, with Him and like Him in heaven forever. How wonderful!
But the wide gate and easy road are well traveled. Most people are on it and they think all is well because “everybody else” is going along that way too. But read Proverbs 14:12. The end of that road is death and destruction.
Why then is it such an easy road? Because you don’t have to do anything to get on it. You are already traveling on it – you were born on it! How can you get off it? Turn in repentance to the narrow gate, trust Jesus Christ as your Savior. He said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, John 14:6. I am the Door, by me if anyone enters in, he (or she) shall be saved, John 10:9.
We are traveling onward, day by day, to eternity. Where are you going to spend eternity?
