Why Does God Allow Evil?

The first reason evil is in earth is because of people’s choices. Evil in the moral sense is not God’s fault. If it is God’s fault, repentance would be ridiculous and punishment for evil would be unjust…

Evil is allowed to remain in the earth because free will is more valuable than the absence of evil. God created us with free will. Without it, we would be less than human. Free will is absolutely necessary for the quality of relationship that God wants us to have with Him and other human beings.

If God were to stop evil, He would have to freeze the free will of every living human being, thereby eliminating free will and any chance for us to have true relationship with Him.

(Further explanation from the book of Dean Sherman, “Spiritual Warfare for Every Christian”. I highly recommend you read the book. It will answer many of your questions in spiritual living)
